Kia Motors Completes KIA Green Light Health Center in Ghana – The fully furnished KIA Green Light Health Center and a mobile clinic van at Saamang in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region of Ghana, was handed over to the District Assembly and the Ghana Health Service by KIA Motors Korea and World Vision Korea and Ghana.

The fully furnished KIA Green Light Health Center consist of a number of consulting rooms, maternity with labor wards, a laboratory, dispensary, storerooms and other equipment with the goal of improving access and quality of health care services, reduce the impact of vaccine-preventable diseases, malnutrition among children under five years, maternal health services, HIV / malaria diagnosis, vaccination and emergency treatment.

The Kia Green Light Health Center mobile Clinic Van is modified from Kiaʼs bongo trucks to provide basic medical services to the poor in the immediate vicinity. Kia Motors expects about 30,000 people to receive medical benefits in the next five year.

The Kia Green Light Project focuses on saving the wellbeing and the economy of poor areas by providing a foundation for self-reliance as well as material support for the underprivileged.

Kia Green Light Project began in 2012, 11 base centers including vocational training centers, secondary schools and health centers, were established in nine countries in Africa and Asia, and five of them completed their five year independence support training.

Ntori Agyabeng, Fanteakwa District Chief Executive Officer, was excited about the kind gesture and commended KIA Motors Korea and World Vision for their interventions.

The Ghana Health Service will support the operation personnel of KIA Green Light Health Center such as doctors and nurses, the local residents of Fanteakwa District will operate profitable projects for financial independence, and Kia Motors and World Vision will support the related technologies along with project monitoring.
